Bourns Expands High-Current Shielded Power Inductor Series with New Low Profile SRP3212 Series

Bourns extended shielded power inductor models developed for use with Texas Instruments model BQ25638/BQ25638D battery chargers

February 1, 2024 - Bourns, the United States, a world-renowned leading manufacturing supplier of electronic components for power, protection and sensing solutions, announced the launch of the low-profile SRP3212 series to expand its high-current shielded power inductor series.

Bourns® SRP3212-1R0MR21 one-piece high-current shielded power inductor measures 3.2 x 2.5 x 1 mm and is manufactured with advanced metal powder core and shielding structure. It has the characteristics of high saturation current, high temperature rise current and low radiation. This inductor is part of the Texas Instruments model BQ25638/BQ25638D battery charger reference design.

Due to its improved efficiency due to its flat wire structure, this new model has significantly lower DCR compared to other similarly sized power inductors using conventional wires. The SRP3212-1R0MR21 inductor has an operating temperature range of -40 to +125 °C, and combined with its thin package size, low radiation, high saturation current and high temperature rise current, it is ideally suited for use in DC-DC converters and consumer electronics used in.

Bourns® SRP3212-1R0MR21 thin high-current shielded power inductor series are now on the market. The entire series is RoHS* compliant and halogen-free**.
