Dalian Da Quanding Group launches multi-band WiFi router solution based on Qualcomm products
Dalianda Holdings, a leading international semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanding has launched a multi-band WiFi router solution based on Qualcomm's IPQ5018 chip.

In the era of mobile Internet, WiFi technology has become an indispensable part of our work and life. However, as the demand for connections continues to increase, traditional single-band routers will encounter problems such as network congestion and reduced transmission rates. To solve these problems, multi-band routers emerged. This router utilizes multiple frequency bands such as 2.4G and 5G to provide greater bandwidth and wireless capacity, bringing users a smooth network experience. Against this background, Dalian Daquan Ding launched a multi-band WiFi router solution based on the Qualcomm IPQ5018 chip. This solution has a PCIe interface to meet the high-speed, wide coverage and strong and reliable connection needs of home and enterprise scenarios.

IPQ5018 is a high-performance embedded processor from Qualcomm, specially designed for WiFi network applications. It integrates quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A53 processor and high-speed network connection, supports multiple WiFi standards, including 802.11ac and 802.11ax, and is compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n wireless protocols. Not only that, IPQ5018 also has interfaces with a variety of peripherals, such as USB, PCIe, etc., which can easily connect and communicate with other devices. During operation, even though the main frequency of IPQ5018 is only 1GHz, it is enough to meet the bandwidth usage of 1Gb/s in the current mainstream market. Coupled with the specifications of WiFi 6, the chip has an extremely high cost performance.

Although the IPQ5018 only has one built-in 2.4G WiFi baseband, it retains the scalability of PCIe and can plug in 5G and 6G WiFi basebands through two sets of PCIe interfaces, thus providing greater design flexibility and saving research and development time. Thanks to the performance of the device, this solution can be used as a single-band, dual-band or even tri-band router design.
Single frequency: only use the built-in 2.4G of the solution to create a single-band finished product. Mainly used in repeater or WiFi mesh node scenarios.

Dual-band: The current mainstream market is 2.4G and 5G dual-band routers, dual-band repeater WiFi SON nodes.

Tri-band: Just replace the module on the PCIe to complete a tri-band router that supports the 6G frequency band.
