The collaboration is backed by €8.1 billion in state support from 14 nations and hopes to draw one other €13.7 billion of personal funding.
Contributors embrace Airbus, ASML, Ericsson, GlobalFoundries, Orange, ADI, Continental Automotive and Bosch.
“We must be pioneers. We have to develop really progressive options and naturally their first industrial deployments in Europe,” stated EC vp Margrethe Vestager.
